About the Site

Antagonism is a personal hobby site. The site hosts personal projects, code and HOWTOs. All content on this site's copyright belongs to Patrick R McDonald unless specifically stated otherwise. The goal of Antagonism is to provide content which is "O'Reilly informative". That is O'Reilly as in Tim, not Bill. As such, this site solely concentrates on content, not design.

About the Owner

My name is Patrick McDonald. I currently reside in Kansas City, MO . Having spent the last six years as a security/network engineer, I currently am employed at Securify, Inc. as a member of their professional services team. I am a regular on several channels on Freenode and participate as data mangler in the OSVDB.

You are more than welcome to ask me questions about the material on my site. I love to answer questions and share what I have learned. Being mostly self taught as a network engineer, it really makes me feel good when I can help others. However before asking me a question, please take the time the time to read and understand this. I can get very nasty and irriated with people who think that I am here to answer their questions despite the fact that they have put forward little to no effort into researching an answer. A little courtesy goes a long way.

I regularly use GnuPG. To receive a copy of my public key, send an email to gpgpublickey-marlowe@antagonism.org. I regularly sign my emails, so if you receive an email from me which is not signed, be wary. I highly encourage everyone else to sign/encrypt their emails as well. After all, your emails are nobody's business but your own.

For those who are interested in my whereabouts or going-ons, you may vist my calendar through RSS. Please let me know if you have any issues with the feed; it should provide you a weekly view. If you don't prefer RSS (or know what it is), you may access the full calendar.
